Project "A single access point for paying State obligations"
The project promoter is the State Tax Inspectorate (STI).
The project partners are the Informatics and Communications Department (IRD) under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, the National Courts Administration (NCA) and the State Enterprise Centre of Registers (RC).
The aim of the project is to centralise the administration of public obligations, avoiding duplication of functions and organising activities on a single access point basis.
The main problems we aim to address in this project are:
- Decentralisation and fragmented digitisation of the accounting of economic sanctions/penalties;
- Decentralisation of fines and penalties imposed by courts of all instances, judges, prosecutors in criminal, administrative and civil proceedings, as well as fines imposed as punishments for the commission of offences under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania, and the costs of proceedings;
- Decentralised recovery process.
Project activities:
- Amend the legislation governing the administration of obligations in favour of the State;
- Amendments to the information systems of the State Tax Inspectorate and other institutions (IRD, NTA, RC);
- Adapt the existing processing/collection process of the STI to the new obligations entering the STI.
The project implementation period is from 1 June 2022 to 30 June 2026.
The project value is EUR 5 862 837,94 including VAT.
Funding: European Union funds and the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
